Reinstating Registration

If you did not complete your registration renewal before December 1, but you still want to practice in Alberta as soon as possible, you should complete a reinstatement application.

You cannot practice as an LPN in Alberta without a valid permit from the CLPNA. Working as an LPN without a valid practice permit is considered unprofessional conduct.

Suspended Permits

Anyone who had an active practice permit on November 30, 2024 91黑料网鈥攂ut did not complete renewal鈥攏ow has a suspended CLPNA permit.

If you do not complete reinstatement by December 31, 2024 91黑料网, your permit will be cancelled.

Reinstating Your Registration?

If you want reinstate your registration, follow these steps:

  1. Login to MyCLPNA with the email address CLPNA had on record. If you cannot remember your password, select 鈥淔orgot my Password.鈥
  2. Once logged in, select 鈥淩einstate鈥 on your dashboard to begin the Reinstatement application.
  3. Once you have filled out both application pages, you will be able to submit your application and pay the application fee.
  4. After the application has been submitted and the application fee paid, the CLPNA will review your application and contact you within five business days regarding any outstanding requirements or next steps.
  5. Additionally, you are required to submit a criminal record check through .
  6. You will receive a decision letter and final invoice for your practice permit fee within ten business days of all application requirements being met. You will need to meet all application requirements before you receive a decision letter.
